What makes the Pulse21V™ gas furnace so special is its modulating heat exchanger and variable-speed blower motor. The heat exchanger automatically modulates the amount of heat delivered, so that the furnace doesn't use any more energy than necessary. The blower motor then adjusts the airflow to meet the heating demand, which conserves electricity. This completely self-regulating system no only saves you money by using 15 to 40 percent less energy than conventional units, it reduces operating noise as well.
The Pulse21V benefits of safety features such as use of a spark igniter, eliminating the exposed flame of a pilot light. The automatic shut-down feature ensures 100% gas shut-off in the event of a blocked flue or any other abnormal operating condition. In the case of a burner misfire or loss of gas pressure, the special WatchGuard™ circuit automatically re-sets the ignition control, enabling the furnace to automatically re-start and eliminating the need for unnecessary service calls. Because the Pulse21V furnace uses only outdoor air for combustion, it also reduces the corrosive effects of indoor air on your furnace.
